When “Bruno, Chef de Police”, the first case for village policeman Bruno, was published fifteen years ago, hardly anyone would have expected Martin Walker's crime novels to be such a resounding success. Volume 16 of the bestselling series, “Im Château”, has recently been published. In it, Bruno is on special assignment: a group of old friends who know each other from Silicon Valley meet up every year for a week's vacation, this time at the beautiful, luxurious Château de Rouffillac. But beforehand, one of them, Brice Kerquelin, is the victim of a mysterious accident, and Bruno is seconded to protect the small group. But it's not just his ingenuity but also his cooking skills that are called upon.

A classic Bruno: exciting, entertaining, with a twinkle in his eye.
