Art and action in the festival avant-garden: analog matchmaking by Hamburg’s only offline matchmakers, plus unique portraits by a local legend!
Schatz GmbH is the antidote to endless swiping on dating apps. This Hamburg matchmaking project, created by HFBK students Josie Overton and Djoana Weimann, offers analog matchmaking (with breakup insurance!) for short- and long-term festival flirts. A highlight of last year’s HFBK open house, it now brings its charm to the festival. Every Friday and Saturday, visitors can fill out a questionnaire at the info stand about their personal and artistic interests and be matched with like-minded people.
Festival guests can also get their portrait drawn by a true Hamburg underground icon: visual artist Martina Palm. Known for her unique live portraits, she will be sketching visitors in exchange for a donation and presenting her own works in a pop-up exhibition.
