Matthias Kaul’s composition class presents its new musical theatre production ‘Schattenhaft’ (‘Shadowy’), introducing the professional musicians in the L’Art pour L’Art ensemble. All eight composers are on a ‘search for meaning’ in a range of beautiful, cheeky, funny, magical and absurd ways, and wonder whether it is possible to recognise or understand anything – and if yes then how?
