How does a body set itself in motion when its surroundings are fundamentally precarious and harmful? In PRECARIOUS MOVES Michael Turinsky continues his investigation of resistant choreographic positionings. At the center of the solo, which is as much biographical as conceptual, lies the questioning of his personal as well as the collective needs for mobility and mobilization. Oscillating between the organic and the organized, the performance unfolds as an ironic and engaged intervention that connects the body with the sensual world through which it moves.
Michael Turinsky has been awarded the prestigious Austrian Nestroy Theater Prize 2021 for PRECARIOUS MOVES.
