Since the 2015/16 season, the MIGRANTPOLITAN has been a location, laboratory and meeting place in which new formats of working, living and celebrating together can be tested and developed. It’s a place where the social categorizations in »refugee« and »local« are abandoned and whose protagonists can design cosmopolitan visions together. As a label, MIGRANTPOLITAN is a producer of its own activities and enriches the Kampnagel program with highlights from a perspective of migrant politics. Concepts were developed in the Kampnagel program such as ORIENTAL KARAOKE, SYRIAN DIASPORIC SOUNDS or the REFUGEE VOICES TV SHOW.

During the first International Summer Festival week, MIGRANTPOLITANS will revive the SOLICASINO together with the USCHI GELLER EXPERIENCE for four nights – probably the most charming way to let someone take your money, for example, at MauMau of Death, Poker or a shell game »Hütchenspiel«. During the second and third festival week, every night the COMMA CAFÉ will be open; and present specials such as jam session concerts curated by Anas Aboura, Boy Division as a living JUKE BOX, SOLIDARITY LYP SYNC EXTRAVAGANZA by House of Cuntrol, and for the closing party Deejay Faith will be invited by the Refugee Radio Network. One thing applies to everything: every lost Euro or one spent on drink is one won for MIGRANTPOLITAN and the Refugee Radio Network!
