What equally sounds like a threat and a promise, announces the new show of Japanese choreographer Toco Nikaido and her group, who have left behind a stunned audience with their appearance at last year’s Summer Festival. With a total cast of at least 25 performers they head over again from Tokyo to present NOISE AND DARKNESS. Nikaido depicts the »noise« of a futuristic Tokyo versus the dialectical »darkness« of Japanese culture. She confronts the audience with an unrelenting pressure and force that engulfs the entire theater in the resounding roar of anime music and pop songs.
