THE EXTRAORDINARY ORDINARY!
Artist and curator Hannah Hurtzig and her Mobile Academy have been organizing »black markets for useful knowledge and nonknowledge « since 2005. Thus far they have taken place in 14 countries. The concept is unique: a total of 90 mostly local experts offer the audience their specialized knowledge. The visitors have the option of booking individual 30-minute conversations with the experts or of following the events as spectators. Hamburg’s black market, THE EXTRAORDINARY ORDINARY, deals with the practical experiences of people with disabilities and philosophical speculations about an expanded humanism.
