Morehshin Allahyari is a new media artist, activist, educator, and occasional curator. She thinks about technology as a philosophical toolset to reflect on objects; a poetic mean to document the personal and collective lives we live and our struggles as humans in the 21st century. SHE WHO SEES THE UNKNOWN is an in progress body of work on Digital Colonialism and re-Figuring as a Feminism and activism practice, using 3D scanners and 3D printers as tools of investigation. At Kampnagel, she presents the work in a site specific version, including a mixed media installation and a reading archive. On 27th January Allahyari will present a lecture performance on her work with a special guest appearance by New York artist, viral-sensation and rapper Prince Harvey.
