Mykki Blanco

Five years after their debut album, American musician Mykki Blanco releases the beautifully titled »Broken Hearts And Beauty Sleep« and puts a queer exclamation mark on the present. The styles from house to bossa nova intertwine fluidly on the album. And with features from Blood Orange, Big Freedia or Jamila Woods, Blanco draws a vision of the end of patriarchy, better love and, of course, beauty sleep. Anyone who has ever been immersed in a concert of Mykki Blanco (e.g. at the Summer Festival 2014) knows about the performative power of this exceptional artist, who now comes back to Hamburg with a full band for a very exclusive club gig. Support comes from DJ Internet Offline, the moniker of visual artist Jil Lahr, coming from the realms of the Golden Pudel Club and known for her highly versatile dj-sets will support the show before and after.
