Oona Doherty opened the 2022 Summer Festival with NAVY BLUE, a violently beautiful panorama of our times for 12 dancers informed by ballet. At the Bucerius Kunst Forum, she now presents a solo adapted for the atrium from NAVY BLUE’s ensemble choreography. To Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, in which he reflected his depression and its overcoming, Doherty transfers the classical ideal of crisis and redemption to our troubled present. The work will be performed twice on the same day by different dancers: Thibaut Eiferman & Tomer Pistiner.
