At Kunsthaus, Oona Doherty presents a duet adapted from NAVY BLUE especially for the Kunstmeile Hamburg. Set to Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and the dark, specially composed soundscape by British DJ star Jamie xx, Doherty brings the classical ideal of crisis and redemption into the present day. She weaves an undercurrent of existential dread into the harmony of ballet, which only gives way, in a moment of rebirth, to the hope for a new future.
