A non-academic lecture. As part of »Lola Arias: My Documents«
MY DOCUMENTS is a programme of lecture performances, where artists from different backgrounds present personal research, a radical experience, a story that secretly obsessed them. For MY DOCUMENTS, Lola Arias invited several artists, from dance, documentary film, installation and performance and theatre to delve into their personal archives.
In this new digital version, the artists will be virtually there, in their new domestic stage, showing their archive on a shared screen with the audience. The audience can see the performance live, make comments and exchange visions and insights afterwards. In times of Corona, let’s infect ourselves with ideas, stories and knowledge. Let’s share our screens for debate, love and social encounters!
In DOING IT, Pedro Penim confesses a secret passion that carries him across the oceans of the Internet. An innocent and obscure addiction that has remained hidden to date. It seduces the audience into the head of someone who is on a permanent search and makes us think about our own obsessions. What do we do secretly on our computers when no one is watching us?Pedro Penim, born in Portugal in 1975, is a director, performer, author and translator. He is the founder and artistic director of the multi-award-winning Teatro Praga, whose works are shown worldwide. In addition to the Teatro Praga, Pedro Penim worked with artists and groups such as Forced Entertainment, Tg. Stan and the Portuguese directors Ricardo Pais, Antonino Solmer, José Wallenstein, Nuno Carinhas.
