Raja Feather Kelly / The Feath3r Theory
Doomers
For the third time during the Summer Festival, all six venues of Kunstmeile Hamburg become a stage – in a full-day performance parcours from the Bucerius Kunstforum to the Kunstverein, free of charge!
With DOOMERS, a piece conceived for six exhibition spaces, choreographer and director Raja Feather Kelly continues his interdisciplinary body of work, which ranges from solo pieces and collaborations with artists Wu Tsang and serpentwithfeet at the Summer Festival, to choreographies for musicals and operas. With the feath3r theory (TF3T), a Brooklyn-based dance-theater-media company, he creates interdisciplinary works that merge choreography, theater, and visual culture. In DOOMERS, Kelly turns toward the compulsive loop of digital consumption and its impact on attention, intimacy, and embodiment. The work investigates doomscrolling as both behavior and condition—how the body is shaped by continuous exposure to crisis, how desire for connection becomes entangled with overwhelm, and how perception fractures under constant information flow. Developed with TF3T and collaborators in Hamburg led by Kameron Locke, DOOMERS unfolds across the six exhibition venues of the Hamburg Art Mile. The performance combines contemporary dance, physical theater, and influencer aesthetics into a sequence of fragmented live scenes that mirror the logic of scrolling itself—discontinuous, seductive, and overstimulating.
