Intersectional perspectives on the lived experiences of Roma enable us to understand structural obstacles and find a way to effective solutions to systemic exclusion, discrimination and social inequalities. Secondly, they make visible the diversity of Roma, their cultures, lived experiences and resistance movements in Europe. What does it mean to be queer, Roma and from Eastern Europe? What can empowerment for Roma youth look like? And what is the significance of art as a resistant form against multiple discrimination? On the panel, Tayo Awosusi-Onutor, Laszlo Farkas and Mariya Atanasova will discuss Roma and resistance with an intersectional lens.
