This anarchic vaudeville show for adults changes on a daily basis, and dances joyously into the abyss of an absurd world. SHABOOM! is political cabaret that blends clowning with camp, queer irreverence and satirical slapstick. Short sketches alternate with timely improvisations at a nervewracking rate. Direct and unfiltered, SHABOOM! reflects on the world’s current madness and gets under your skin with all of its intentional rawness. SHABOOM! is performed by Paul Soileau (whose alter ego CHRISTEENE is also playing a concert at KMH, and will appear on the K6 stage with Peaches), the performer, visual artist and CHRISTEENE dancer Silky Shoemaker and the artist and actor Lex Vaughn. Together they put on a spectacle that flirts with disaster, and, by passionately celebrating failure, is a joyful mourning procession for the concepts of success and perfection.
