It is a true classic of German children’s theatre: the legendary interpretation of the story of the robber Hotzenplotz by the performance collective Showcase Beat Le Mot. Developed as a commissioned work by the Theater an der Parkaue in 2007, the successful production has been performed almost 200 times at home and abroad, has received high praise and won several awards. After a seven-year break, the production is celebrating a long-awaited revival this year and the most cunning robber in the history of children’s books is finally returning to Kampnagel as a Christmas present: Heavy rhythms and deep magic show people from about 6 years on his world as the only alternative to the one here. To make Showcase Beat Le Mot’s twisted universe accessible to even more people, the performances on Saturday, 02.12. will be interpreted into German Sign Language.
