THE SEASON is a brilliant musical for people with an appreciation of anarchic children’s birthdays. The story is one of friendly woodland animals who are confronted with a new threat alongside the hunting season: lively, red-haired fluffy creatures from another planet, who speak in strange noises. One of the greatest love stories since ROMEO AND JULIET begins between Tina (a wonderful alien) and the bear from the woods. The piece is conceived, composed and staged by multi-talented Canadian Josh Dolgin, who conquers the concert stages as a musical whirlwind by the name of Socalled. The musician, photographer, magician, cartoonist and close friend of Chilly Gonzales previously brought THE SEASON to the stage in Montreal (Québec) for a one-off performance with a diverse group of musicians, puppeteers and dancers and released the music as an album in 2013.
