Icarus and his father are trapped in a labyrinth and the audience is right in the middle, trying to find a way out. Icarus has many questions for his father: Who locked us in? How do we get out? Will we ever be home again? This new interpretation of the successful German youth theatre production of the myth of Icarus was devised in Alexandria in December 2018. It considers the diverging experiences with this poetical father-son story while expanding the interpretation by a political dimension in the face of repression and the urgent desire for freedom.
