Viennese author Ursula Poznanski writes thrillers for adults (“Die Burg”) as well as for young people - and is one of the most successful German-language authors.

In Poznanski's latest thriller “Scandor”, two teenagers, Philipp and Tessa, face a very special challenge in which a hundred people compete to test a unique, infallible lie detector: Scandor. He follows the candidates around the clock, sniffing out every evasion, every fib. Anyone who lies is out of the running and has to face their deepest fears. The person who is left standing at the end receives prize money of five million euros. But not everyone involved plays fair.
