Now, the award-winning dance theater of the Enrique Gasa Valga Dance Company brings the life of one of the most captivating figures in art history to life. Viva la Vida – A Tribute to Frida Kahlo celebrates an emotional homage to a life full of strength and resilience with dance perfection. Accompanied by death throughout her life, Frida experienced life in all its intensity: whether moments flooded with sunshine or those that seemed as dark as the darkest night. Her story has fascinated the whole world and continues to do so today. Through movement and artistic expression, Enrique Gasa Valga makes Frida's indomitable spirit, her passion, her intensity, and her pain visible. Valga was awarded the Austrian Music Theater Prize, the Golden Schikaneder, for the best ballet production of the 2011/12 season for his dance theater.
