Live Art Festival #2 Everybody Anybody Nobody

The second edition of the LIVE ART FESTIVAL presents 14 productions focusing on the use of the body in live art. From 13 to 30 May, international artists offer radical and surprising artistic positions on the value of the body, its instrumentalisation and its diversity of representation.

The LIVE ART FESTIVAL questions forms of contemporary embodiment mechanisms in which forms of representation of the body are put to the test. It is also an examination of the strategies of stage art: the body that acts in front of an audience and per se experiences two interpretations, namely that of the artist and that of the individual spectator. The invited performances give a statement on the scenario of a society oriented towards body images and at the same time initiate a play with these images.

On view are productions by: William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Halfpastselberschuld, Tanzinitiative Hamburg, Chicks on Speed, Ivana Müller, Rotozaza, Ivo Dimchev, Chris Haring, Janez Janša, Angela Schubot & Jared Gradinger, Sylvi Kretzschmar / Hanna Linn Wiegel / Katrin Mayer, Jonathan Burrows & Matteo Fargion, Rosas.
