Wheelchair accessibility / visit with a walker

The grounds are at ground level. All main venues (k1, k2, k3, k4, k6, p1 and kmh) as well as the foyer, box office area and the Peacetanbul restaurant are wheelchair accessible. If wheelchair accessibility is not possible at individual events due to seating or stage design, a corresponding note is provided on the play page and in the program booklet. Unfortunately, the rehearsal stages and the kX are currently only accessible via stairs. Migrantpolitan is not accessible by asphalt and therefore not wheelchair accessible. You can filter the program by wheelchair accessibility.

Tickets: Wheelchair spaces will be provided in the halls as needed. Unfortunately, wheelchair spaces cannot currently be booked online. Please inform the ticket office staff when purchasing tickets that you require a wheelchair space.

Ticket telephone 040 270 949 49, e-mail Kasse@kampnagel.de

Parking spaces: Behind the halls in front of the administration building (Jarrestraße 20) there are two parking spaces for visitors* with sensory or physical impairments and the appropriate parking permit. From there, Kampnagel can be reached at ground level (approx. 100 m). Enter at Jarrestraße 20, then keep left.

Rollator: If you are attending an event in the hall, you can park your rollator in the hall next to the grandstand. The staff will be happy to help you. Or if you have booked a 1st row seat, you may keep your rollator in your seat. For non-seated events such as concerts, you may continue to use your rollator and/or ask for seating.

Toilets

You will find wheelchair accessible toilets between halls p1 and kmh.

Accessibility for Blind and Visually Impaired Visitors

Unfortunately, there is no guidance system either in the building or between public transport and Kampnagel.

Our cooperation partner Hamburger Kulturschlüssel arranges pick-up service (from home, to the events and back) accompaniment on site and if needed free tickets for selected performances (at least 1 time per month). Registration with Kulturschlüssel is necessary. The list of offered performances can be found here

In addition, we offer an in-house pick-up service from the Kampnagel bus stop to the event and back to the bus stop after the event. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the performance: 040 270 949 342, presse@kampnagel.de.

Both stairs and a ramp lead to the entrance. The stairs are brightly lit with glare-free lighting, and the steps are marked in white on the gray flooring. There is no railing. There are no revolving doors anywhere. Glass doors are clearly marked (this does not apply to the entrance to the Peacetanbul restaurant). Doors or door frames are contrastingly delineated from the surrounding area, with the exception of the restroom doors. The doors to the halls are opened by the staff. In the foyer there is movable seating, usually collected in the center of the room or at the edge. In the foyer and halls, the wall cannot be used as an orientation guide.

Box Office: the theater box office counter is brightly lit. The box office display has small type.

Directions from public transportation can be found under Service (hyperlink). More detailed information on structural accessibility can be found here.

Guide dogs for the blind are welcome. Please inform the ticket office staff when purchasing tickets that you are accompanied by a guide dog.

Accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors

Halls k6, k2 and k1 are equipped with an induction loop. These are available in k6 from row 1 to 15 and in k2 and k1 on all seats. In addition, two induction loops are permanently installed at the box office and at the info point in the foyer. The events with hearing assistance are listed here.

Many thanks to Humantechnik and Europe Beyond Access for their support!

(Tester* feedback: In k6 the signal is weaker on row 1 seat 1 and 34, in k2 on row 1 seat 1 and 25 as well as on row 14).

Quiet Space

or a few minutes of downtime, the best place is under the gallery in the foyer. It's relatively quiet there and you can take a deep breath in peace. If it gets too loud for you, you can always borrow ear protection headphones from the checkroom.
