Ahmet Aslan

Ahmet Aslan, a world musician with an Anatolian background, is known for his masterful playing on his self-created instrument di-tar (a mixture of bağlama and flamenco guitar, which he developed during his time at the World Music Academy in Rotterdam) and for his sensitive singing. He interprets Anatolian folk music in his own way and is constantly reinventing himself and his music. His solo album VA U WAXT ("Wind and Time") was released in 2003, followed by MELEKLERIN DANSI ("Dance of the Angels") in 2008. His latests albums NA-MÜKEMMEL and BUDALA AURASı contain songs that make it clear that Aslan is constantly developing himself and his music.
