Anna von Hausswolff

Last year, Anna von Hausswolff – high priestess of dark pop visions – got together with her band and the producer Randall Dunn to record a grim monolith of an album: »Dead Magic«. It continues exactly where they left off with »The Miraculous«: sacral doom pop in which they conjure up the longing for everything in the beyond with powerful drone sounds and a ghostly voice. The primary musical instrument is the pipe organ from the Marmorkirken in Copenhagen. For the support we open the gates to the mystical world of Nebulosa. In one long amazing improvisation, morphing sounds and atmospheric drones creep forth from the crocked fingers of the eccentric savant, Joel Fabiansson.
