ÜBERJAZZ Festival Saturday

Since 2010, the ÜBERJAZZ FESTIVAL has been showcasing how jazz, soul, hip-hop, ambient, and other cutting-edge styles come together to create forward-looking music – typically across four Kampnagel halls, all accessible with a single ticket. Starting this fall, Kampnagel will be undergoing renovations and will, for a period of 18 months, only be hosting shows in the large Hall K6 (in addition to various city-wide performances). Therefore, the 2026 ÜBERJAZZ FESTIVAL will take place in a special format: over three days, ÜBERJAZZ will present multiple concerts each evening in Hall K6 in a unique setup. The ÜBERJAZZ concept of strolling through musical worlds of the future remains – concentrated in a single hall with multiple acts in one evening. LINE-UP SATURDAY

AL.SO is German Jazz Prize-winning co-founder of the Moses Yoofee Trio, MOSES YOOFEE, harpist, Floating Points-collaborator and co-founder of jazz trio Flur, MIRIAM ADEFRIS, modular synth expert ROBERT HENRIQUES, who has worked with Philip Glass and Patti Smith, and saxophonist MARIUS MAX of underground collective Sonic Interventions. At ÜBERJAZZ they celebrate the release of their striking debut EP „portunes“ out November 20th on LEITER.

Ever since SAM GENDEL and SAM WILKES from L.A. released their legendary album “Music for Saxofone & Bass Guitar“ via Leaving Records back in 2018 we’ve been trying to bring them to ÜBERJAZZ. Gendel is known for his work with saxophones and wind controllers and collaborated with artists like Laurie Anderson, Moses Sumney or Ry Cooder while Wilkes is a frequent collaborator with Louis Cole amongst many others. 

Tokyo-based saxophonist and flutist SINSUKE FUJIEDA and his six piece group, recall the cool, deeply atmospheric sound of 1970s modal and spiritual jazz, while weaving in subtle elements of classical, world, and East Asian musical traditions. Legendary Parisian record store / label Superfly scored a huge success by releasing their album “Fukushima” in 2025 outside of Japan and at ÜBERJAZZ they'll finally play their frist ever show in Europe. 

Exploration and play are at the core of SIMON POPP’s creative process. Trained in jazz drumming and polyrhythm, the Bavarian-born artist draws from a vast array of percussive instruments to build his expansive sound palette. Popp's ravenous musical curiosity resonates throughout his extensive output, both as a solo artist or through his collaborative projects like Fazer, 9ms, Poeji, or Polygonia & Simon Popp.
