Electro is one of the newest club dances on the scene. Since 2006, there has been a hype surrounding the movements, which were dominated by techno beats and black lights, in which hands (in fluorescent gloves) and arms were most visible. Here, socio-cultural groups mixed together that openly lived the dissolution of patriarchy and heteronormativity in practice. While there are many electro events taking place in France, Spain, Mexico and Russia, the style is still in its early stages in Germany. In the birthplace of electro, Frequency celebrates the best electro dancers in spectacular battles every year.
