With BLKDOG, Botis Seva presents one of his most powerful works: a pulsating composition of hip-hop choreography, music, text and light that combines physical force with emotional depth. Together with his company Far From The Norm, Seva explores the complex connection between self-discovery and self-destruction and poses existential questions about repression, violence and early trauma. An intense journey through inner abysses, BLKDOG simultaneously searches for strategies of coping and for the fundamental need for acceptance. Internationally acclaimed British choreographer Botis Seva has received numerous awards for both his choreography and his fi lm work and is considered one of the most influential voices in the contemporary dance world.

Excerpt from the performance BLKDOG. One person lies on their back on the floor, three others crouch behind them and look at them. Two more performers stand on the left edge. All eyes are on the person lying down. The scene is bathed in warm, orange light.
