Bouchra Ouizguen

Bouchra Ouizguen is regarded as a pioneer of contemporary Moroccan dance. In her new work ÉLÉPHANT, together with her company O, Bouchra Ouizguen continues to experiment with the wealth of experience of traditional singing techniques, rituals and the popular repertoire of the Marrakech region. She questions what has been passed on orally over several generations and has become collective practice. Accompanied by Moroccan musicians, Bouchra Ouizguen has created a choreography in which movements and sound intertwine and oscillate between strength and fragility.
