Charly Hübner & Ensemble Resonanz

This musical séance by actor Charly Hübner and the Ensemble Resonanz, complemented by a jazz trio of Kalle Kalima, Carlos Bica and Max Andrzejewski, initiates an encounter between Schubert's »Winterreise« and the songs of the Australian poet and singer Nick Cave. The spirits of this séance speak of unhappy love. Of pain. Of guilt. Of failure. About loneliness. Of great failure and death. No place, nowhere. Or: All beauty must die... In Tobias Schwencke's adaptations two musical worlds begin to overlap, dance with each other and finally merge into a new, confusing unity. Hübner expresses the songs of Schubert and Cave in a very direct, almost unpolished way - and tells a story of longing, despair and consolation.

Charly Hübner, a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus and best known for his role as Detective Bukow in the NDR series »Polizeiruf 110«, took the initiative for this project, which was then developed over the course of two years together with Ensemble Resonanz and the composer Tobias Schwencke. On October 2, this séance between Franz Schubert and Nick Cave will also be released as an album.

As single seats with 1.5m distance to the next person we offer the outside seats 1 and 34 in each row. All other seats are seats for 2 persons with 1.5m distance to the next group of 2 persons. Unfortunately, our seating plan cannot display if one seat out of two has already been bought by another person. So if you book a single seat that is not number 1 or 34 the seat next to it has already been bought by another person and you agree to sit next to this other person. This also applies if you buy only one seat from a group of 2, the 2nd seat will then be sold to another person accordingly.
