One ticket for the last night of the Festival: while Boy Division will perform with an orchestra in the Kanalspielhaus Flora, the grandmaster of sampling Kid Koala will demonstrate the euphoric effects of turntabling after his show NUFONIA MUST FALL LIVE: a danceable madness of blues tunes, high-speed scratching and stimulating beats. The Goldene Zitronen are planning a programme with guests to make the night a grand one for the venue next door. For the past 30 years the legendary Hamburg band is an institution of musical counter-enlightenment, traveling through a reference system from punk to techno with Krautrock awareness in order to formulate political standpoints at the height of the time. Their extensive network of theatre, music and film projects has also left traces in their music, as have the real battles of cities and people. After Kid Koala New York based Shannon Funchess, widely known for her project Light Asylum and as guest singer for The Knife and !!!, will infect the night: expect a queer, ecstatic, vibrant DJ-set.
