Die Wilde Jagd is the musical project of producer and songwriter Sebastian Lee Philipp, who has been working for eight years on an ambiguous version of avant pop. With minimalist, gritty intensity, Die Wilde Jagd weaves a dense and atmospheric web of drama, romance, ecstasy and melancholy. Their psychedelic minimalism with German lyrics has been immortalized on three studio albums and several EPs so far, and in 2021 Philipp composed "Atem", a commissioned piece for the Roadburn Festival. Their new album "ophio" was just released on the excellent Hamburg label bureau b. It is an ode to existence and the transformation to happiness, says Sebastian Lee Philipp about his work. With his minimalist sound aesthetic, he manages to "make the approximate audible (...) music can be that simple and that beautiful if you let it breathe" (plattentests.de). Live, Die Wilde Jagd now performs their depth-digging sound universe in the large Kampnagel hall with Sebastian Lee Philipp (guitar, electronics, vocals), Ran Levari (drums, percussion) and Lih Qun Wong (cello, vocals).
