The new event series DUB-KE offers an introduction to the wide world of »Arab techno«. In most Arab countries, techno and electronic music are still absolute underground phenomena. For those who have never taken part in a secret rave in the desert, the Kampnagel club will give you a musical impression, even if you won’t have sand in your shoes. The musical spectrum includes diverse styles and genres of »Arab trap« to »Oriental house«. The name of the new party series is already an homage to hybrid forms: dabke is the name of traditional folk dance – DUB-KE is its technoid interpretation.DJ DZIRI starts the action; she is a DJ, producer and event promoter gaining attention in the alternative underground electronic music scene. She founded the notorious Arab Techno party series called Souk Sessions, with which she’s pushing the new genre. As a one-woman formation, she is steadily building up a growing following with her high-energy, Arab influenced techno sets and productions. Last year she played in Hamburg during Theater der Welt festival.
