KRASS Festival celebrates Labour Day with Dubioza Kolektiv from Bosnia. The crazy group from Zenica and Sarajevo mixes dub, metal, traditional elements and hip-hop and sings against powerlessness in a precarious world and against dullness of politics. They stand up to refute the stereotypes of the Balkans and against nationalism within and injustice against their people.

In 2003 members of the bands Gluho Doba Against Def Age and Ornamenti formed a collective. They experienced the hard school of life during the siege of Sarajevo, so their lyrics come from first hand experiences. Again and again they have a direct influence on politics, for example with the foundation of the civil rights movement Dosta! or organizing an anti-corruption concert right in front of parliament. They are also recognized abroad for their uncompromising stance: with their massive sound systems, the seven Dubiozas play at major European festivals to delight thousands of dance enthusiasts with their sweaty mix of Bosnian folklore and ska to metal.

For all truck drivers, carers and cleaners, for everyone on the construction sites next door, for all abandoned villages and cities in Eastern Europe, for everyone who had to go from east to west to find work and now feed the capitalist machine, because it must not stop. Dubioza Kolektiv and KRASS Festival celebrate with you all May 1st, Labor Day!
