Due to current events, the official opening of this year's B.A.L.L. - Bundesweites Artist Labor of the Labs will be preceded by a speech by Sivan Ben Yishai ("Theater der Leerzeichen", translated from English by Tobias Herzberg). Afterwards, Amelie Deuflhard (Kampnagel) and Holger Bergmann (Fonds Darstellende Künste) will jointly open the program, followed by opening remarks from Dr. Andreas Görgen, Ministerial Director at the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM).

As representatives of the 64 Artist Labs, the members of the board of trustees, who have supported the Labs over several weeks, will give a keynote speech, after which the curatorial team of the B.A.L.L., consisting of Julian Kamphausen, Uta Lambertz, and Susanne Schuster as well as the scenographer Philine Rinnert, will provide a preview of the diverse program of events.
