In DANCING GRANDMOTHERS, South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn is once again using dance to scrutinize her homeland’s society. The ensemble is made up of dancers from Ahn’s company as well as Korean grandmothers, whose bodies, Eun-Me Ahn believes, are inscribed with their tough biographies and living conditions, like living history books. A transgenerational ode to life.
