Eun-Me Ahn

In POST-ORIENTALIST EXPRESS, South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn creates a striking and visually opulent performance in which diverse cultural and choreographic perspectives collide and are powerfully redefined. Together with eight dancers, she delves deep into Asia’s rich traditions and fluid movements, challenging and reinterpreting representations of the continen – from the Caucasus and the Indian subcontinent to Japan. Drawing on legends, costumes, music, movement, and pop culture, Eun-Me Ahn exposes stereotypes only to twist and exaggerate them into the absurd.
