Futurist concert happening with piano destruction.

F.S.K. (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle) is an art school band from Munich; they belong to the most creative knock-out punchers in the German pop and art landscape. Now the band is made up of the director of the Kunstverein Wolfsburg, Justin Hoffmann, the author Thomas Meinecke, the visual artist Michaela Melián and the photographer Wilfried Petzi. In 1991 they added Carl Oesterhelt. Since their founding in 1980, F.S.K. have been performing in their original line-up as a hedonistic partisan collective – which has only been achieved by U2 or The Pet Shop Boys. The latter appeared as F.S.K.’s supporting act in England in the 1980s, where the band was celebrated for its trans Atlantic pop deconstructions. Now, F.S.K. have arrived at a cubist music sketch technique in their current album »Akt, eine Treppe hinabsteigend«, whose lines lead from Iannis Xenakis, Sun Ra and Larry Heard to the glitches of current bass music. Their art-music-action »Ein Haufen Scheiß und ein zertrümmertes Klavier« [a pile of shit and a destroyed piano] will appear this summer on Martin Hossbach’s label – and at the International Summer Festival, they will then also perform the album title in the best happening tradition.
