Football legend Felix Magath is coming to Hamburg. As a player, he was the director of the great Hamburger Sport Verein in the 1970s and 80s and won numerous titles. Unforgotten: his dream goal against Juventus Turin in 1983, with which he made HSV the European Champion Clubs' Cup winner. The strong left-footed Felix Magath followed up his successful playing career as a European champion, runner-up in the World Cup and multiple German champion with an equally successful coaching career: His nickname: "Quälix". Despite all his triumphs, the son of a US soldier and a single mother has always retained his clear and often merciless view of the football business. For many observers, Felix Magath is still a man of contrasts today. Together with his long-time companion, the journalist Harald Kaiser, he has written a biography about his life. The two talk about it with "Abendblatt" editor-in-chief Lars Haider - and certainly about the current state of professional football.
