Against a purple-green background, two digital avatars float in front of each other. They seem to have bumped into each other. Both are bald. The rear avatar wears a black jumpsuit, the front one a leopard print.

BODIES UNDER INFLUENCE is a live virtual reality dance performance that choreographically explores the space of experience between the real and the virtual world. Where does the body begin, where does nature end, and where can the two no longer be separated? Together the visitors dive into an immersive world – between dance, singing and creative technology. With BODIES UNDER INFLUENCE, Fernanda Ortiz continues her research of post-digital bodies that consistently connects artists, creative technologists and institutions. Together, the transdisciplinary team creates innovative experiential spaces that are pioneering for the experimental interface of dance and technology.
