Waldbühne Kultursommer Special at Kampnagel – presented by NDR and ZEIT-Stiftung
14:30 EULE & LERCHE After appearing on two compilation albums of German indie music for children, »Under my bed«, Lisa Bassenge and Boris Meinhold’s are now fully devoted to producing music for a young audience. Under the moniker Eule & Lerche, they have now written the first complete children's song album and are ready to storm the Waldbühne with a colourful mix of imaginative melodies and varied lyrics to sing along to.
16:30 DJ KEKSE & FRIENDS DJ Kekse makes good music for small and big people - he can play funk, soul, hip hop, dub, electro and everything else. In his kitchen, fine things come out of the oven and onto the record stove. A good pinch of bass, fine beats, skillfully mixed and seasoned with everything that makes fun. After winning the hearts and ears of children (and their parents) at the last festival edition, DJ Kekse sets to top that this year by bringing along a very special friend.
18:30 DETECT ENSEMBLE (JUNGE NORDDEUTSCHE PHILHARMONIE) Arrangements von Roman Flügel & Solist*innen Listening as a starting point for communication. Following this philosophy, the Detect Ensemble explores the essence of sound between contemporary and electronic music. The performance focuses on arrangements by DJ Roman Flügel.

Kultursommer Special at Kampnagel – presented by NDR and ZEIT-Stiftung
20:00 FRITZI ERNST & BAND As one half of Schnipo Schranke, Fritzi Ernst once fronted the annual charts of the indie press with »Chanson-Fuck-Pop« and won the hearts of a growing Generation Y in search of alternative role models. Now the classically trained classical music refusenik is back with her solo debut KEINE TERMINE (No Appointments) produced by Ted Gaier of German punk veterans Die Goldenen Zitronen: rarely has the German language sounded so casual and sad as in Ernst's pieces, which range from opulent chanson to minimalist piano pop. DIE ZEIT summed up the album's quality with the question: »Is it allowed to choose the pop album of the year already in June?« At the end of the Kultursommer-Special at Kampnagel, presented by NDR and ZEIT Stiftung, Fritzi Ernst now plays KEINE TERMINE with backing band in full size.
15:00 ZIRKUS CORONA JAJAJA invite children and all those who want to become one to a joyful performative circus throughout the Festival Avant-Garten. Today's guest: DJ WAXS

FESTIVAL AVANT-GARTEN INFO
Like last year, Hamburg's pearl of pleasure parks will be designed by JASCHA&FRANZ - conceptually accompanied by the long-time festival associated performance group JAJAJA and extended by a Waldbühne by Urs Amadeus Ulbrich and Gras & Steine. With references to fun fairs and theme parks and with a concept for accessibility, the Festival Avant-Garden offers various areas with installations, performances, culinary delights from the Peacetanbul Restaurant and a daily changing program on several open-air stages and the Migrantpolitan building (details in the program overview).
Capacity is limited due to the pandemic and access is only possible with a personalized ticket (3€, available in advance and at the box office). With a ticket for another festival performance on the same evening you can enter the garden for free - as long as there is enough capacity, otherwise there might be bridgeable waiting times. Seated areas in front of the various garden stages will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Details about hygiene rules on site will be published here in due time.
HERE you will find all the latest information and Corona rules for your visit.
