GRANDE ATTAQUE is a choreography between seizure and attack, powerlessness and resistance. In their first work as joint artistic directors, the Brazilian choreographer Regina Rossi and dramaturge Greta Granderath celebrate the excess of gestures and clamor, affect and pathos, appearance and reality. Starting point of the evening are stagings of hysteria, which in 19th-century Paris were presented in Paris of the 19th century as »female malady«. GRANDE ATTAQUE is a confrontation to the attributions and pathologizations of female* and queer bodies that are still present today, with humorous glance at affects and exaggerations.
