If you can't travel through Mexico right now, you should at least listen to the music of Stephan and Alejandro Gutiérrez aka Hermanos Gutiérrez: The Swiss brothers with Ecuadorian background have set a trip through Mexico to music with classical and lap steel guitar as well as percussion. Their fourth album »Hijos del Sol« turns deserted landscapes and a whole lifecycle connected to light into a fascinating sonic experience. Out of three album songs, Mexican film director Fernando Guisa has crafted a short movie of black and white magical realism, which was shown at various international festivals and which once again proves the density and broadening of horizons in the musical dialogue of the Swiss instrumental band Hermanos Gutiérrez.
