This year's HipHop Academy GALA is entitled “Error 404 - Future not found?” – a topic that hits right at the heart of the present: artificial intelligence.

What does rapid digitalization mean for our lives, our everyday existence, the whole world? Will democracy and cultural diversity still exist? Can global warming still be stopped and our planet saved?

Young perspectives at the cutting edge meet concentrated creative energy here. Staged by hip-hop legend Niels “Storm” Robitzky – German choreographer, dancer, and professor of urban dance at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz. The stage becomes a mirror of a generation that seeks and finds its place between fears, hopes, and visions: “We are rewriting the future!”

Over 100 students from all levels of training bring the diversity of hip-hop culture to the stage in all its power: breaking, rap, singing, hip-hop dance, and producing. Once a year, they show what they're made of – with a performance that gets under your skin.

The gala is divided into two parts:

Part 1: An energetic revue choreographed by the renowned regular instructors of the HipHop Academy – a fireworks display of all levels and genres. The instructors: AnDy Calypso, Mr. Schnabel, Jango P.Nd Jackson, Sleepwalker, Laura Elisa, Franklyn “Slunch” Kakyire)

Part 2: An intense music-dance-theater piece, developed with the master class under the direction of Niels “Storm” Robitzky, which translates the questions of our time into beats, moves, and powerful images. Choreography and artistic direction of the master class: Franklyn Kakiyre

An evening full of energy, emotion, and inspiration – hip hop in its purest form.
