Hoe_mies is a true Berlin original. Founded in 2017, the club concept quickly evolved into a political alternative to the male-dominated club scene and, with a clear focus on queer, BIPOC, and FLINTA* artists, is one of Germany’s most influential femme-focused club nights. At the Summer Festival, Hoe_mies presents an evening featuring its founder Meg10, who seamlessly blends styles like Y2K hip-hop and reggaeton into bass-heavy sets; Kontronatura from São Paulo, a member of Mamba Negra, one of Latin America’s largest LGBTQ* underground collectives and already responsible for great club sets at the 2025 Summer Festival, ranging from Baile Funk to Kuduro and Techno; and Zaniah, DJ, performance artist, and a leading figure in Hamburg’s ballroom scene, who brings Latin club sounds like dembow, baile funk, and global bass to the energy level of ballroom in her sets. The evening kicks off with a concert by Hamburg-based Keshia, one of the most exciting German newcomers, who won the Hamburg Music Award KRACH+GETÖSE in 2025 with her blend of experimental alternative pop and electronic music.
