»To our dear listeners, fans and everyone who’s has bought tickets for a Jaga Jazzist show in October. It pains us to say it again however, for the health and safety of our band and our fans, we have to postpone our EU and UK dates once again due to travel restrictions and COVID-19. There was no way we could have ever imagined postponing our tour once, so doing it a second time makes it even harder. We were so excited to get out there and show Jaga Jazzist to the world but we will have to continue waiting. We are currently working on rescheduling the dates to a time when it is safe again for us all to be together and enjoy live music. Please note all tickets will be valid for the new dates once they are announced!«

Jazz has existed for over 100 years and has since then, often in exchange with other genres, produced the most incredible forms, which in turn radiate to other musical areas. A great example of the possibility of jazz is provided by the band Jaga Jazzist. Since its beginnings in 1994 in the Norwegian city of Tønsburg they have combined a wide variety of musical influences such as post-rock and electronica into a complex but highly elegant form of contemporary hybrid-music. After stations on quality labels such as Ninja Tune and Smalltown Supersounds, their latest album »Pyramid« is released on Flying Lotus‘ label Brainfeeder. Jaga Jazzist’s sound research has driven them into cosmic realms this time, where nerdy references such as those of the Norwegian synthesizer guru Ståle Storløkken meet 80ies jazz or psychedelic à la Tama Impala. Since their last appearance in 2015 as part of the Überjazz Festival on Kampnagel, this is the first Hamburg show by the eight-member band, which is developing its full dance potential especially live.
