Jan Plewka / Die Schwarz-Rote Heilsarmee

The Rio Reiser evenings by Selig frontman Jan Plewkas with his band Schwarz-Rote Heilsarmee have become repertoire classics at Kampnagel. They are the result of many years of collaboration with former Schauspielhaus director Tom Stromberg, who has been developing various projects at Kampnagel with Jan Plewka since 2013 and has expanded the concert format to include sly digs into the theater's bag of tricks. Now both parts of this Rio Reiser crowd-pleaser can be heard in one evening: the first part focuses on Rio songs, the second on the unbreakable songs of Ton Steine Scherben. Plewka and his musicians play the classics as if they were their own songs: a cover show full of charm, humor and life.
