Jan Plewka

Jan Plewka brought grunge to Germany in the ’90s and made German-language music radio-friendly with his band Selig. As an actor, performer, and Rio Reiser interpreter, he’s also conquered the stage—collaborating for 15 years on musical projects with theater pro Tom Stromberg at Kampnagel.

Now he distills five years of work in art and music into a new solo album: "Eine Art Soloalbum" gathers moving songs about love, death, pain, and longing—the timeless themes that shape our small universes. Recorded in live sessions in a Kampnagel rehearsal room with Stromberg manning the light, the album captures the unique Plewka feeling: melancholic, wry, and intimate.

The album premiere will be celebrated in the very place it was created—with full band, warm atmosphere, and beautiful lighting.
