After the success of SOUND OF SILENCE and RAUSCH, Selig frontman Jan Plewka and theater impresario and Summer Festival in house director Tom Stromberg present their latest musical-theatrical escapade, DIE MACHT DER MUSIK, at the International Summerfestival 2016. This time, Plewka and his band Die Schwarz-Rote-Heilsarmee take on the depths of our musical memories. He and his collegues will play the songs of their youths, and tell their personal stories. And also you will have the option of submitting the most important song of your life under DieMachtDerMusik.net, along with your story. They will maybe then play your song and tell your story on stage. In any case, Jan Plewka’s unmistakable smoky voice will be at the center of this magical, staged concert evening about the role of music in our collective memory.
