John Moreland / Noah Gundersen

American singer-songwriter John Moreland has been on stage for nearly half of his life, having, at one point, moved from rock, punk and hardcore to softer sounds and leaving the underground clubs of his home state of Oklahoma for the wider world. In Hamburg, he presents his current album, »High on Tulsa Heat.« Noah Gunderson comes from Seattle, an American musical capital, and has managed to release an impressive number of recordings at the tender age of 27. His relaxed lightness turns his existentially tuned indie-folk pieces into true pop hymns. He is arriving to perform live with his most recent album, »Carry the Ghost,« which he recorded in the studio of Pearl Jam’s guitarist, in his luggage. Fans of the cult American TV show »Sons of Anarchy,« especially, have something to look forward to in the double-bill, given that both musicians’ songs were frequently used on the show.
