A secret sun shines for everyone – yet belongs to only a few. SECRET SUN, the third part of Sounding Situations’ “Distant Resonances” trilogy, transforms St Gertrud’s Church into an electro mass where techno, Parsifal fragments and ritual merge. After a vote on non-human political power, the Inner Circle celebrates salvation while deciding who belongs. The audience moves between inclusion and exclusion, leaving transformed − whether blessed or not.

Sounding Situations develops innovative music theatre, where performers, musicians, sound, and audiences encounter each other in both physical and imaginary spaces. The collective’s projects create multilayered artistic environments in which political art, current social questions, reality, and utopia merge. The collective frequently works internationally across countries, continents, and cultural boundaries, developing trans-traditional experiments that open up new perspectives and explore the diversity of shared human experiences. Since 2014, Sounding Situations has been investigating theatrical situations at the intersection of theatre, staging, and music.
